If the Marion County Commissioners can make the courthouse more accessible for less than $300,000, commissioners may still hold a non-binding election on the project. The county can issue bonds for up to $300,000 without an election, however the public must vote on any project which would raise the mill levy by more than one mill per year for 10 years.
