Warner Bros. reported the theft of 41 gallons of paint, 10 gallons of paint thinner, two paint brushes, and rope from a storage site in Burns. The theft occurred sometime between April 20-23. The company is in Burns filming scenes for its movie, "Mars Attacks!"
The Olympic torch will pass through Peabody and Florence May 17. It will arrive in Wichita at 6 a.m., go to Newton, then east on U.S.-50 and is expected to pass through Marion County during afternoon hours.
Johelen Fincham of Marion County Lake has been named Marion County chairman for the American Heart Association memorial program.
Thane Schwartz, formerly of Marion and now residing in Tampa, Fla., will be seen on "The Nanny" television show airing Monday, May 13. Thane was selected from auditions held in Miami, Orlando, and Tampa to perform as an extra on "The Nanny." The show was filmed aboard the Celebrity Cruise Lines.
Robin Summervill was honored April 17 at a come and go miscellaneous bridal shower in the parlor at Eastmoor United Methodist Church. Hostesses were Karen Regnier, Shari Padgham, Joan Winter, Jean Miesse, Betty Thompson, Vickie Kraus, Joyce Smith, Pauline Schoneman and Peggy Blackman.

Included are a son, Trevin Michael, born to Tony and Katrina Steele; a daughter, Chase Ann, to Lynn and Stephanie Lalouette; a daughter, Lindsay Nicole, to David and Kim Poague of Salina; a son Orion Christopher to Christopher and Chantal DeYoe; a son, Braden Curtis, to Brad and Amy Pagenkopf; and a son, Seth Michael, to Randy and Vicki Crawford.
