Senator James Pearson took time out from his duties in Washington, D.C., to pay a visit to Marion Thursday morning and he liked what he saw. His visit here was part of a five town tour in central Kansas. He also visited Newton, McPherson, Lyons, and Hutchinson.

Lt. Col. Richard Schwartz, formerly of Marion, has received his master of science degree in administration and organization of education from the University of Southern California. Lt. Col. Schwartz has been stationed at Seoul, Korea, with the Joint United States Military Assistance Group since August 1975. He and his family will be returning to the United States in July. He will then report to Parris Island Marine Base in South Carolina.

Matthew Classen, president of Marion National Bank, announces the addition of Larry D. Loomis to the position of vice president, starting July 1, 1977. The son of Mr. and Mrs. John Loomis of Marion, Loomis earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering at Kansas State University and a master of business administration from Arizona State University. He then continued his education by attending American Institute of Banking classes.

A group of young students of Mary Ann's School of Dance will perform Thursday on the Joyce Livingston Show on KTVH. Those appearing will be Tonya Jensen, Christine Laue, and Kerry White, Marion; Kathie Clemmer, Lincolnville; Tami Mueller, Tampa; Tondalayo Frantz, Ramona; and Misti Dye, Lost Springs.

Edward J. Costello, president of Tampa State Bank, this week announced the appointment of Christopher C. Costello to assistant vice president of the bank. Chris Costello graduated this spring from Wichita State University where he majored in business with emphasis on bank management.
