Jeff and Mary Pritchard, son and mother, will appear in Marion on Old Settlers' Day. Jeff is a national and international champion on the violin. They have played often for the Chat and Dine Club at Marion County Lake. Their entertainment will be one of the highlights of the afternoon program.

Kevin Marler, 1 1/2 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Marler is pictured with a 24-pound pumpkin grown in his family's garden.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman E. Mueller, Route 1, Marion, announce the engagement of their daughter Jo to Michael O'Dell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Delano O'Dell, Florence. A June wedding is planned.

Bernie Waner was medalist in the annual Labor day holiday golf tournament at Marion Country Club. Waner was declared the champion, medalist, and winner of the championship flight. Rosse Case took second in the flight and John Brose third.

Karen Kirkendall, daughter of LaDonna Kirkendall, Cloverdale, Ohio, and Robert Konarik, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Konarik, Marion, were married Aug. 23 in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.

Ron Vinduska, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lou Vinduska of rural Marion, has accepted a position as a teacher and coach at Seaman High School, Topeka.

Marion High School class officers elected Tuesday were: seniors — Bev Bezdek, president; Kay Blackman, vice president; Carol Ehrlich, secretary; Karen Stevens, treasurer; juniors — Debbie Vinduska, president; Bill Hoch, vice president; Renda Thompson, secretary; Jandee Smith, treasurer; sophomores — Ann Bryant, president; Jamie Richmond, vice president; Lori Hett, secretary; John Slifer, treasurer; freshmen — Ronnie Wineinger, president; Dirk Francis, vice president; Tammy Sandwell, secretary-treasurer.
