Life Flight, an emergency transportation helicopter, landed Monday morning in Marion. St. Luke Hospital personnel, including Josie Pankratz, in-services director, Sally Penner, director of nursing services, Eunice Christensen, acting administrator, and Max Gough, county EMS director, took a flight which was made to permit review of the Life Flight equipment and services by hospital and Marion County Ambulance Service.

A weekend of memory, reflection, and centennial celebration is in store for members of Marion Christian Church as they celebrate their 100th anniversary and rededication.

Ensign Daniel Holub, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Holub of Marion, has been awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for "superior performance" while attached to Attack Squadron 94 aboard the USS Coral Sea.

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Carlson of Marion announce the engagement of their daughter, Cindy Kay to Charles E. Reece Jr., son of Mrs. Ed Siebert of Marion and Charles E. Reece Sr. of Oklahoma City. No wedding date has been set.

Florence Wildcat girls volleyball team went undefeated this season, sporting a record of 6-0. Team members are Cindy Ellis, Lori Vantuyl, Cindy Kirkpatrick, Annette Decker, Lisa Hess, Cindy Woerz, Tammy Harris, Lora Wolf, Lisa Richmond, Rochelle Mueller, Nancy Kline, Sharon Ratzloff, Linda Robinson, Sandy Shipman, Shelly Cogdill, Gina Priem, Bonnie Hayes, Brenda Ellis, Jenny McGuire, Cindy Stevens, Marsha White, Debbie Murray, Brenda O'Dell, Dawn Hoffman, Suzanne Steward, Amy Hett, Cindy Heerey, Belinda Campbell, Patty Medina, Stephanie Loney, Lori Kraus, Marie Druse, and Brenda Silhan. Coaches were Larry Lillard and Susan Reid.
