Last Thursday night's drawing of the prizes for the boys and girls was crowded with excited kids in spite of the sudden severe weather and late hour. The four winners were Terry Weigart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Weigart; Gloria Cox, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Cox; Diana Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Anderson, and Randall Conyers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Conyers.
Jeanne Koslowsky celebrated her seventh birthday Dec. 23 when her mother entertained at the Koslowsky home with a party in her honor. Those attending were Ann Christensen, Terri Enos, Mary Lentz, Julie Zerger, Carol Regier, Barbara McCarty, Rita Kay Warkentin, Franceen Bezdek, LaVonne Schmidt, Lori Schmidt, Yvonne Heidel, Jeanne's grandmother Mrs. Ted Longhofer, and her brother John Martin Koslowsky.
Cub Scouts of Den IV entertained their mothers, brothers, and sisters at a program and party Monday in their Den home, the Classen basement. The program included the reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas by David Colburn; a xylophone solo, Jingle Bells, by Greg Carlson; vocal duet, Fairest Lord Jesus, by Brook Beaston and Dart Henry; Christmas reading by Tim Zerger; story of Baby Jesus' birth by Mike Classen, and an organ solo, Silent Night by Jim Koslowsky.
Brad Heerey celebrated his eighth birthday Dec. 21 when classmates came after school to help him honor the occasion. Those who enjoyed the birthday cake decorated as a football field, ice cream, and Kool-Aid were Eddie Vinduska, Marc Smith, Craig Smith, Rodney Richmond, Allan Richmond, Mike Ehrlich, Chris Jost, John Goentzel, his brother Doug Heerey, and his sister Cindy Heerey.
