Three Marion High School senior girls have been named as this year's Marion PTA scholarship recipients. Those who will receive $100 scholarships are Jeanne Keazer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Keazer; Madeline Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Thompson; and Cynthia Powell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Powell. In addition, $100 scholarships will be offered to last year's winners to use during their sophomore year in college. They are Carol Bowers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bowers and Charlotte Fillipp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fillipp.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schmidtberger entertained with a family dinner Sunday in honor of Michael's fourth birthday.

Seniors Lynn Vajnar of Marion High School and Mark Bezdek and DeWayne Kahns of Centre were named to the Cottonwood Valley League all-conference team this week. Juniors Edsel Schroeder and Gary Melcher of Marion were named to honorable mention.

Mrs. Wilbert Kreutziger attended a bridal shower at the Congregational church in Maize Tuesday evening honoring Joyce Fulzenloger, bride-elect of Willis Kreutziger.

Eleven members of the KanzAton Club enjoyed a tour March 4 of the KAKE radio and television station in Wichita. The club's business meeting was held in the conference room at the studio with Mrs. Robert Jirak, president, presiding.

Mrs. Bud Sturm entertained with a party Monday afternoon for their son Chris' 9th birthday. Those gathering at the city park after school were Jimmy and Mark Silhan, Dennis Maddox, Pat Carr, Steve Bryant, Tim Hett, Ricky Just, Kathy Edmunds, Shelly Cowan, Jeannie McCarty, Terri Finke, and Curtis, Jeff, Lou, Micky, and Randy Sturm.
