JoAnn Frick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Frick of Durham, will leave Aug. 20 for Philadelphia to take an orientation course, then fly by chartered jet from New York City with a plane load of other students — a part of the International Christian Youth Exchange. She will spend next year in Germany as an exchange student. A month before JoAnn leaves for Europe, her 17-year-old counterpart, Dieter Schock of Backnang, Germany, will arrive in Durham to spend 13 months with JoAnn's parents.

Mrs. Levern Ottensmeier and Anita drove to Shepard Air Force Base to pick up Airman Jim Ottensmeier, who will be home until July 10. Jim will report to Travis AFB in California July 16 for a new assignment at Kadena AFB, Okinawa.

Double ring wedding vows were exchanged June 1 by Miss Helen Olsen and John Reznicek Jr.

John Mosier, star KU tight end football pass receiver, was speaker Monday at the Marion Kiwanis Club meeting.

Sp/3 Warren Kreutziger returned Sunday from three years in the service of his country, one year spent in Vietnam.

Kristine Dawn Kelsey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kelsey, celebrated her fourth birthday June 19 with a swimming party followed by refreshments served in Central Park. Children present were Laurie Laubhan, Lori, Kathy, and Randy Kelsey, Jeff Burkholder, Jami and Billy Shirley, Kim and Nancy Kline, Shelly and Michael Bina, Leslie Burkholder, Kerry and Michael Kelsey, Rhonda Kelsey of Culver, and Gary Payne of Brighton, Colo.

The Marion County Record received word this week that Anne Burkholder Bradley has arrived in Manila. She stopped over in Hong Kong to visit Mr. and Mrs. Jim (Betty Williams) Sartorious. "Had a grand reunion with them," Anne reports, "we are spreading the good word about Marion all over the world."
