Fifteen nurse aid students graduated this week from the first phase of their classroom work at St. Luke Hospital having put in six days of instruction in theory under Sister M. Paschal, RN. Those taking the course are Rosemary Thiessen, Vera McCarty, Ruby Scharping, LaDonna Ewert, Lilllie Schlotthauer, Tena Lucille Olsen, Margy Thomas, Josephine Pruitt, Karen Druse, Olinda Klein, Elsie Hedstrom, Lillian Robertson, Edith Druse, Barbara Bishop, and Feebie Smith.

Mrs. Neil Lilley of Arvada, Colo., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hobein of Marion, was featured Sept. 10 in the tabloid section of the Sunday Denver Post. Full color pictures show Mrs. Lilley, the former Donna Hobein, her sister-in-law Mrs. Dale Hobein, and her daughter Deneille, 13, as they consult on designs and display the enormous paper flowers created by the "Posies, Inc."

Debbi Case, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Case Jr., was honored with a surprise birthday party cleverly carried out by the hostesses. About 30 guests met at the city building Saturday for an evening of fun and dancing. Hostesses were Pam Griffith, Shelly Batt, Denise Wiens, Susie Wood, Melanie Hett, Janet Lawrence, Brenda Foth, and Sandy Anderson.

Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Kline hosted an informal surprise housewarming for Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ford Sept. 24 at the Fords' recently purchased home at 209 N. Roosevelt. Coffee was served along with homemade rolls, banana nut bread, cookies, and strawberries.

Gary Loveless, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Loveless, received his discharge from the Navy and arrived home Sept. 19, exactly four years from the day he entered the service.
