Welch Manufacturing, Inc., Herington, is moving its WIK Insecticide Application division to Ramona to the former Ramona High School building, purchased recently by the corporation.

Little Mr. New Year was late in arriving at St. Luke Hospital this year, waiting 17 days before making the stork journey. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Layport of Florence are the proud parents. James Robert was delivered by Dr. Ralph Melton.

Cub Scouts of Pack 102 sold "Littler Mudders" foot scrapers as a money-raising project and presented a $65 check to St. Luke Hospital on Monday of last week. The money will be applied toward the proposed coronary care unit. Cubs Gary Hett and Brad Pontious tied for top honors by selling 22 foot scrapers each and were presented wrist watches.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Plenert announce the engagement of their daughter, Patty, to Gary Peoples of Tulsa, Oklahoma, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Peoples of Ponca City, Oklahoma. No wedding date has been set.

Kansas State University freshman Tamara Case of Marion has been initiated as a member of Angel Flight, women's auxiliary of the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps (AFROTC). Angel Flight serves as the hostess group of Air Force ROTC, participates in military reviews and aids the military science department at Kansas State.

Rita Noone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Noone, has graduated from Wichita Practical Nursing School. Her future plans are to work at St. Francis Hospital, Wichita.
