The home of Dr. Henry Loewen, a mile north of Canada, was completely destroyed by fire Feb. 1. The structure was originally built by Isaac Good when he and his family moved here from Ontario, Canada. The Goods later moved to Marion where they built a home on North Walnut Street. Then in 1909, they built the home now occupied by Dr. and Mrs. T.C. Ensey. Dr. Loewen, a Hillsboro dentist, had purchased the house and land and was in process of restoring it into a home of its original charm.
