Community leaders from Marion, Hillsboro, and McPherson met in McPherson Thursday to discuss highway legislation and the possible improvement on U.S.-56. Those present included John Miller, Fred Diehl and J.A. Groves of McPherson, Bud Pierce, David Wheeler and Cecil Wilson of Marion; Irv Schroeder, Harold Wiebe, Jake Klassen and Don Greenhaw of Hillsboro.
Marion's PRIDE committee will present Professor Paul Reed of Wichita State University in concert Sunday, Feb. 18, at Marion Municipal Auditorium to dedicate the new grand piano.
