Max Hayen, former business manager of St. Luke Hospital, has been named administrator of the Custer Community Hospital at Custer, S.D., by the Lutheran Hospitals and Homes Society of Fargo, S.D.

The final results of the women's match play bowling tournament held June 11 to Aug. 1 at MarBowl Lanes are: Ann Rathert, first place, followed by Millie Soyez, Frances Hunt, Tillie Schafers, Karen Kline, and Martha Boyle. The first three finishers received trophies. Fifty-eight women participated.

Mrs. Dean Williams honored her daughter, Kay Ann, with a party Saturday afternoon at the park in celebration of her sixth birthday. Those helping her celebrate were Sherri Kelly, Sherri Rigler, Connie McCarty, Jamie Ratzlaff, Diane Bezdek, Jacqueline Richmond, Judy Richmond, and Linda Williams.

Mr. and Mrs. Levi Suderman, Bob, Leland, and Allen and their families will present a sacred musical program Sunday evening at the Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Five high school students from Marion County are among the 270 delegates to the fifth annual Student Council Workshop this week at the University of Kansas. The students are Clyde Seibel, Hillsboro; Jan Herrick and Mike Steinel, Marion; and Diana Obee and Arlene Foth, Peabody.

Miss Connie Jost, bride-elect of Gene Schimpf, was guest of honor Aug. 2 at a grocery shower in the Strassburg church parlor. Hostesses were Jeannine Bateman, Georgie Vogel, Marjorie Hett, Leah Stenzel, and Agnes Bernhardt.

Dean Ensey, son of Dr. and Mrs. R.C. Ensey, recently returned from a six week trip to Europe. Dean was one of 210 students who made the trip sponsored by the Foreign Language League of St. Lake City, Utah.
