Snow, a wet warm blanket of it, fell early Saturday morning sticking to tree branches and bushes. It was an awe-inspiring sight to adults and must have been a wonder to children for the clinging snow was a shimmering sight as a bright morning sun reflected on the glistening shrubbery. Mrs. R.R. Melton was in her front yard when she witnessed little Tammy Harris, a neighbor from across the street, rush out of the house and throw her arms wide exclaiming "How did they do it!".

Again this week, only ten names had to be drawn to get nine winners in the Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Thursday night drawings for kids' prizes. Winners were Renea Bingaman, Molly Ferrell, Laurie Silhan, Doug Cusik, Ann Bryant, John Silhan, Patti Hill, Brad Heerey and Tim Christensen.
