The Cedar Point State Bank has taken on a

"new look" and is inviting old friends, customers, and interested people to stop by June 27 for an open house to view the new enlarged and remodeled facilities. Ray Crofoot is president of the bank; Ralph W. Linnens, executive vice president and cashier; and A.P. Sommers, vice president. Other directors are E.D. Grimwood, W.P. Dwelle; and Mrs. R.W. Linnens.

A tragic fall from a crane at Newton Wednesday, June 18, was fatal for Robert L. Queen, 48, of Marion. Survivors include his wife, Gladys, of the home in Marion

Richard Bowers, severely burned at the Danny Zeller salvage yard while looking for parts to use in building a motor, is in University of Kansas Medical Center Hospital at Kansas City. He is showing signs of improvement, according to a phone call Monday evening from his mother, Mrs. David Bowers.

Joannie Elling and Marilee McGinness, delegates to the recent Sunflower Girls' State on the KU campus at Lawrence, reported on activities of the week at the Monday noon meeting of Marion Kiwanis Club.

Seven Marion Boy Scouts fulfilled requirements for a cycling merit badge Saturday and Sunday when they peddled their way over 75 miles of Kansas highways. Those participating on the venture were Terry Smith, Jim Koslowsky, Tim Zerger, Mark Ottensmeier, Ronnie Wunsch, Bob Robinson, Mike Robinson, and assistant scoutmaster Earl Winter.

Rev. Bruce C. Hanson will be installed Sunday as the new pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in Tampa and Trinity Lutheran Church in Durham.
