A violent storm Monday morning with winds approaching 100 miles an hour caused damage estimated at $31,200 to tents, trailers, and dwellings at Marion County Lake. Three trailers were totally demolished; another eight were very heavily damaged. Ten tents and camper tents were completely ripped to shreds. Automobiles received extensive damage from flying debris. A uncountable number of trailers suffered broken windows or were blown of their foundations. Trees were uprooted and roofs were ripped from homes. The lake's level rose so quickly from rain that several trailers and boats were flooded.
