The pheasant hunters are large in numbers. A couple of groups from south of town have been after the wily birds. George Williams, Bill Janzen, John Spohn, and Pete and Bob Smith hunted in Nebraska Friday and Saturday and came home with their limit. Morris Lee Ehrlich, Ralph Richmond, Eugene Christensen, and Vernon Vogel were in Western Kansas and also had good luck.

Thirty-two Boy Scouts traveling in seven cars with commissary truck accompanying them, will leave Wednesday for a four-day trip through northeast Oklahoma on the annual Scout jaunt. Drivers and leaders who will accompany the boys are Alfred Hiebert, Keith Kelsey, Bill Meyer, Arthur Schmersey, Jack Seaton, Marion Smith, and Virgil Wiebe.

Miss Jane Foster was in Marion a short time Tuesday morning bidding goodbye to friends on her way to her new position in The Dalles, Ore.

Case Insurance Co. had as their guests Tuesday Lyman Teague of Chicago and Herbert Schoeppe of Wichita. They entertained them at Kingfisher's Inn for dinner that evening with Mrs. Rosse Case, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Case, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. DuVall, Mr. and Mrs. Rosse B. Case, Miss Violet Krispense, and Mrs. Elizabeth Koegeboehn as additional guests.

Mrs. Willard Conyers and Mrs. Carl Bass entertained the bridal party for the wedding of Miss Nora Zeller and Kenneth Conyers at the Willard Conyers home Friday evening after the wedding rehearsal. Those present included Miss Zeller, Mr. Conyers, Rev. Fanestil, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Conyers, Kathryn Popp, Mary Lou Conyers, Carlita Bass, Donna Miesse, Norma Sly, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cunningham, Wichita.

Mrs. Rosse B. Case was guest of honor at a birthday dinner given by Mrs. Scotty G. Gound Sunday evening. Places were marked for Mr. and Mrs. Case, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Newlon, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Costello.
