Aided by almost perfect weather for this time of year, the annual CVPBJ (Cottonwood Valley Poultry Barbecue Jamboree) held Tuesday in Marion was rated a big success. Attendance at the fine program provided for poultry producers, and at the egg show in connection, was good. And the enthusiastic response accorded the barbecue chicken luncheon was even greater than that experienced last year. Five hundred fifty-five chicken halves, each weighing a good 1 1/4 pounds, were barbecued.
