The Sisters at St. Luke Hospital and the staff entertained members of their baby alumni association this Thursday afternoon. This association was formed one year ago and has over a hundred paid members.

The teenage group enjoyed a hi-fi party at the city building Saturday evening as guests of Connie Fisher in celebration of her birthday. Guests included Edith Ann Jewett, Karen Schroeder, Sandra Jackson, Deanna Klenda, Faith Kelsey, Vicki Lorts, Ada Piland, Deanna Kimball, Tom Good, Raymond Remmers, Gary King, Donnie and Ronnie Druse, Gary Roberts and Dick Varenhorst.

Art Schlehuber of the Mid — West Sales and Service will leave Friday on a trip to Detroit as a guest of the Ford Tractor Company. The trip will take five days and each day will be full of sightseeing and entertainment for the dealers.

Marion Junior High "Braves" have not had a successful season so far, but are hoping for better results tonight when they host Abilene. Members of the team are John Williams, Wayne Ewert, Chris Hauser, Jim Keazer, Bob Boese, Maurice Williams, Gene Schimpf, Max Jackson, Ronald Kelsey, Larry Boese, Mike Schwemmer, Lowell Ensey, Victor Winter, Keith Just, Steve Collett, Jon Schimpf, Max Miller, Don Williams, Tom Tucker, Tim Williams, Dick Varenhorst, Dennis Pankratz, Steve Greenemeyer, Tom Good, Gary Roberts, Gary King, Ron Druse, Don Druse, Jan Hayen, Harvey Sanders and Gary Hammer.

Jan Rathert was hostess Thursday evening for a going-away party for Sue Bratton who left Monday with her parents for residence in Manhattan. Other girls attending were Kathy May, Bess Haizlip, Ethel Brunner, Lou Wheeler, Lucinda Hauser, Ruth Muck, Beverly Pankratz, Bonnie Richmond and Joan Heerey.

Jack Summerville, formerly of Marion, this week received a promotion in the Wichita Police Department from traffic patrolman to vice detective. He has been a member of the department for five years.
