Several members of Bill Olsen's Sunday school class gathered at his home Saturday evening to help him celebrate his 12th birthday. Those who enjoyed refreshments included Annabelle Bass, Carol Conyers, Gary Ford, Johnny Christensen, Keith Hett, Richard Siebert, and Kim Olsen.

Clarice Collett was honored Friday evening with a bridal shower in the basement of the Youngtown church. Refreshments were served by the following hostesses: Mrs. Wilbur Razor, Mrs. Cyrus Goertz, Mrs. Art Meierhoff, Mrs. Earl Hoffman, Mrs. Martin Druse, Mrs. Harry Dody, Mrs. Joe Scharenberg, Mrs. Rufus Bateman, Glenda Razor, and Mrs. John Adams.

A group of little girls laughed and enjoyed a game of pinning the tail on the donkey Wednesday afternoon at a party celebrating the fifth birthday of Tammy Case. The guest list included Beverly Hoch, Jo Beth Crawford, Beverly Elling, Jill Kline, Janice Wygle, Jaymie Corey, Patsy Wood, Cathy Costello, Susan Hansen, and Tammy's brother, Brad Case.

The Marion Athletic Association will hold its annual membership drive starting Feb. 1 with Joe Childs as drive chairman.

Francis R. Roberts, Marion County clerk, will resign his position here sometime after Feb. 20 in order to take over a new one in the state tax commission, it is announced this week.

Fire completely destroyed the workshop of Herman Buethe Saturday afternoon and an estimated $1,000 worth of tools including an electric welding machine. The Buethe place is one and one-half miles east of the Antelope turnoff on Highways 77 and 50N.
