The Western Waterproofing Company, Wichita, unloaded steel and other equipment this week, preparatory to doing rather extensive work on the east wall of the Wheeler Building which was exposed after the YMCA Building fire.

High, cold winds and drifting snow today caused closing of all Marion County elementary and high schools with the exception of Marion, where about sixty percent attendance allowed classes to continue. School probably will be held tomorrow unless conditions worsen.

First and Second Class and Star and Life awards in Scouting were presented Monday night at a Court of honor by Scoutmaster Virgil Wiebe. Those receiving the awards included Wayne Johnston, Kenneth Bowers, Leslie Johnston, Paul Schmersey, Larry Evans Wayne Thies, Jerry Loveless, Michael Seaton, Marion Kelsey, and Earl Winter.

"Robin" a frisky 9-month-old pet raccoon and his owner, G.P. Grisell, Lincolnville, paid a visit to the courthouse recently and caused quite a stir. Grisell, a mathematics teacher at Lincolnville High School, says he started raising Robin on a bottle when the coon was a 2-week-old baby.

Mack Sanders and his radio and television "Ranch Boys" will be the featured entertainers at the Tampa High School auditorium next Friday evening. The program is being sponsored by the Tampa Triple T's 4-H Club.

The Lehigh Eagles remain at the top of the North Marion County League standing following their defeat Tuesday night of Lost Springs in a one-sided score of 83-55.
