A brand new farm implement manufacturing and marketing firm, specializing in soil conservation machinery, Tumaco Equipment, this week opened their main office in Marion at 910 E. Main Street. The new firm is an outgrowth of a business started quite a few years ago by Wm. H. Tucker.

Dr. W.M. Tate, well-known Peabody physician, died at Axtell Christian Hospital Tuesday after suffering a heart attack in his Peabody office.

Double ring marriage vows were repeated by Miss Donna Rae Ehrlich and Robert Kelly at four thirty the afternoon of July 1st.

Judy Coons, Marion, sang at the advanced students recital of the Midwestern Music and Art Camp Tuesday night. Miss Coons is studying voice and bass clarinet during the six-week session.

Mrs. W.O. Anderson, daughter of Clara McKay, had the good fortune to win a new car last week in a contest at one of the movie houses.

Mrs. N.E. Mueller of Canada entertained with a party July 5 in honor of the sixth birthday of her son, Norman Ray. The afternoon was spent watching TV and playing games. Guests were Barry Wayne Mueller, Paul Mueller, Jay and Rae Jean Woerz, Janet Grothe, and Mary and Joyce Ford.

Richard McLinden, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bud McLinden and Jerry McConnel, 17, who has been helping the McLindens with their farm work, were injured in a car-tractor accident three miles east of Cedar Point last Saturday. Jerry had both bones of his left ankle broken and Richard suffered multiple fractures of the large toe on his right foot.
