Mrs. Frank Gilbert of Lincolnville received word Thursday evening that her son, 1st Lt. Kenneth Ambrose, pilot of a dive bomber stationed in the Aleutian Islands, is missing in action.

The trial "blackout" Monday night was a success beyond expectations, according to a report of all of the officials in charge. Whether the next trial will be as successful remains to be seen. For the next one, there will be no warning of people days ahead. There will be only the signal broadcast to officials a short time before. Officials will have to call all the workers in the system and watchers, wardens, and others will have to assume their posts on short notice.

The play "Mystery in the Library," a three act mystery comedy will be given this evening at the Lincolnville High School. Cast members are Merle Albrecht, Erna Hartke, Eugene Croyle, Don Buethe, Lawrence Bernhardt, Helen Navrat, Vonda Lee Ulrich, Luella Rindt, Edna Hartke, Dean Frobenius, Peter Silhan, Hubert Steiner, Marion Frobenius, Eldon Beneke, Ohmer Kaiser, and Florian Silhan.

The Record is informed by Durham sources that an effort is being made by local people and that the Durham State Bank which was announced as liquidating two weeks ago, may be continued in operation. Further announcement may be forthcoming soon.

Mrs. Harold Ewert and baby will leave Saturday for Denver, Colorado, to spend Christmas with her husband who is in the service.
