A farewell party for Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Richmond and family of the East Creek area was held Thursday evening at the school house in connection with the community party. The Richmond family is moving to Lost Springs.
Leo Brose was in Kansas City the first of this week buying seed potatoes in market there.
NOTICE — All chickens running at large within the corporate city limits of Marion must be penned up at once or owners are liable as specified by law.
Junior Athena Club entertained Senior Athena Club members with a "Dr. Cupid" valentine party in the city building. After the aches and pains were cured by various doctors in the operating room, sanitarium, accident ward, and emergency ward, refreshments were served.
While riding his Shetland pony Sunday, little Vernon Bowers fell off and broke his left arm.
The "Try and Do" class of the Methodist church enjoyed a valentine party at the home of Anne Burkholder. Others present were Mrs. Hazel Meierhoff, teacher, and Peggy McCarty, Naomi McIntosh, Mary Burnett, and Nancy Myer.
Dobbs School children had a valentine party. Guests were Wanda Lou Propp and Dwight Kruse. Children of the school were guests of Patsy Kruse when she served refreshments on her birthday.
