If there is a greater thrill for diminutive fishers, J.D. Wright and Warren Woerz, than they had the other day on the creek west of Marion, they can't think of what it would be. They hooked onto an eight-pound carp. And an eight-pound carp will give most anyone a lively fight, let alone a kid not much larger than that.

Leonard Perry will move his Owl Car restaurant three doors east of his present location when the room is remodeled for his occupancy. The new location will be the corner room of the Mrs. John Mehl building, formerly occupied in summers by an ice cream sales room.

Miss Nadine Noll of Walton has been a patient this week in the Marion hospital. Her mother, Mrs. Claude Noll of Florence, has been with her this week. Mrs. Noll is staying with her mother, Mrs. Rosse Case.

Under a new order received this week by the Selective Service Board, names of men sent in the draft may be published after they are "delivered." The following were in the list who were "delivered" Tuesday: Wayne Harvey Everhart, Tampa; Robert Irwin McCutchan, Lost Springs; Albert David Winter, Lehigh; Oliver Hiebert, Hillsboro; Junior John Friesen, Hillsboro; Harold James Johnson, Peabody; Robert James Newlin, Hillsboro; Robert Waldo Break, Florence; Melvin M. Schmersey, Marion.

Mac Kreuter, who graduates from Marion High School Thursday evening, has been awarded a coveted scholarship to one of the men's halls at KU. He will leave for Lawrence immediately after commencement. Mac doesn't know as yet to which hall he will be assigned. Each house is run on a cooperative basis and the entrance is awarded to high school seniors on a basis of scholarship. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kreuter of Marion.
