If your NEW 1944 LICENSE plate is a different number than your OLD one, you are REQUIRED to write the new number on the COVER of your gas Ration Books. You do not NEED to change the license number you have already written on the FACE of your PRESENT COUPONS. Marion County War Price and Ration Bd., D.M. Seneker, Chrm.

A recent meeting in Hawaii of two Pilsen men in the service was one that brought a lot of pleasure to Sgt. Daniel Navrat and Lt. Paul Vinduska, both of Pilsen, met there. No doubt the "old home community" got a good going over with both exchanging all the news they knew.

The Busy Bees class of the Methodist church had a party Friday evening at the home of their teacher, Mr. Howard Ford. The evening was spent playing games. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Ford. The following are officers for three months: President, Juanita Ford, Vice president, Cora McCarty; Secretary, Sarabel Wolf; Reporter, Patsy Rittel.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hannaford had as Sunday dinner guests Mrs. Gilbert McCullough of Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Amos Peterson and Cynthia of Salina, Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Reid and baby of El Dorado, and S2/c Douglas McGinness of Farragut, Idaho.

The Kansas Society of New York will hold its usual Anniversary Party on January 29th at the Vanderbilt Hotel, and all Kansans and their friends are invited to attend.

At the meeting of the Marion Girl and Boy Scout Councils Wednesday evening it was decided to hold a Hobby Show March 18. Prize ribbons will be given to the school children of Marion and the rural schools in the Marion community who display the best Hobby. No pets will be allowed. Admission to the show will be 10 up to $10,000 in War Stamps and Bonds, which will be sold at the entrance, the buyer to keep their own stamps and bonds. Further details will be completed by a committee comprised of Joe Parsons, Rendel Newsom, Mrs. Frank Hagans, and James Meisner.
