The division of grades between the two school buildings next year was determined at the meeting of the board of education Monday night. The first, second, third and fourth will go to the Bown Corby school in the valley and the kindergarten, fifth sixth, seventh and eighth will attend the hill school.

Daniel Charles Tajchman is one of those who will be young in birthdays all his life. He arrived Sunday, Feb. 29, at the Marion hospital. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tajchman of the Youngtown neighborhood and is their seventh child.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Youk Sr., Dennis and Charlene returned Saturday from a week's visit with their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Youk Jr. at Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Improved train service on the Santa Fe in this area comes with the daily service by El Capitan and the Super Chief, formerly run every other day, according to local agent., H.L. Wright. The El Capitan. an all coach fast train, goes west at Newton at 3:50 a.m. and east at 8:35 p.m.. The Super Chief, an extra fare pullman, goes west at 5:05 a.m. and east at 3:05 a.m.

Mr. C.F. Klein wishes to announce the engagement of his daughter, Ruth, to Mr. Ed McGinness, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McGinness, Aulne. The wedding date has not been set.

Jack Swain, student at Emporia State College, had a leading part in the Shakespearean play, "The Taming of the Shrew," presented at the college Tuesday evening.

Mark the dates of March 16 and 17 for the big Spring Tractor, Implement and Tractor Show to be held during the day. Entertainment the first evening will be a spectacular spring style show with special musical interludes and special entertainment Friday evening by the famous KFH Ark Valley Boys.
