The popular "Ark Valley Boys" radio show troupe of station KFH, have been contracted to present a full evening program as one of the headline entertainment features at the big free Tractor and Merchandise Show to be held March 19 and 20 in Marion.
Mrs. Ora Kelsey entertained the pupils of the Wren school and their teacher, Mrs. Ada Grimes, Feb. 18 in honor of Zona Elaine's ninth birthday. Pupils attending were Zona Eilane, Evelyn Brunner, Dean Klenda, Janice and Darrell Riffel, Patty Holt, Barbara Yeagley, Roger and Wayne Hett, Rosie Vlk, Carol Weyand, and Roger and Margaret Sinclair. Additional guests were Margie Ann Bernhardt and Juanita Marie Kelsey.
Considerable moving is going on in the Quarry area. Mr. and Mrs. Devore moved their furniture to the Jake Ryff house north of Antelope, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Scharenberg and baby moved to the Scharenberg farm vacated by the Devores, Mr. and Mrs. Junior Magathan moved to the Clara Firebaugh home vacated by the Scharenberg family, and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Linnens and Marilyn moved to the Firebaugh farm, the large house on the hill.
Mrs. Cyrus Goertz was operated on at the Hillsboro hospital Monday evening for appendicitis. She is recovering satisfactorily.
Recent deliveries of new cars by the Paul Seifert Motor Company included a new Buick sedanette to Max Miesse, now back from the Marie Corps; a new Buick convertible 5-passenger coupe to Allen Kimble; a Chevrolet fleetline aero sedan to Carl Bass; and a Chevrolet business coupe to Cecil Bruner of the state highway commission.
