There will not be any turkeys for civilians until such time as the War Food Administration obtains the 10 million pounds for holiday needs for American servicemen overseas.
The following had a picnic at the lake Friday night followed by a line party at the Kaw: Mrs. Edwin Burkholder, Mrs. Gordon Wolf, Mrs. James Tibbetts, Mrs. Ira Newcomer, Mrs. Mildred Skinner, Mrs. Wallis Hoch, and Miss Mary Gene Fey.
The annual reunion picnic supper of the old-time picnic crowd was at the beautiful new country home of Mrs. John Wheeler. Those present were Miss Elizabeth Apel and Mrs. Wilson Cadman of Wichita, Mrs. Louis Hargett of Peabody, Mrs. Lee Ireland of Florence, Mrs. Dodds Turner of Sedgwick, Mrs. G.J. Goodsheller, Mrs. John Riddle, Mrs. Randolph Carpenter, Mrs. Roscoe King, Mrs. Harry Kline, Mrs. Allen Kimble, Mrs. Paul Shahan, Mrs. Alex Case, Mrs. Wallis Hoch, Mrs. Paul Williams, Miss Edith Greer, Miss Jennie Corby, Mrs. W.H. Carpenter, Mrs. Mildred Skinner, Mrs. Errett Phillips, Miss Clara Duncan, and Mrs. Wheeler.
Mrs. W.A. Henry entertained with a party In honor of her son Greg's third birthday. Guests included Mrs. Arthur Schmersey and Paul, Mrs. George Miser, Carol and Rita, Mrs. Edward Good and Bill, Mrs. J.G. Oblander and Darlene, Sarabel Wolf and Patricia Henry helped with the games and serving.
