Earl R. Priebe of Kearney, Nebraska arrive Friday to assume the managership of the Marion J.C. Penney Store. He replaces Robert Wart who has been assigned to the Penney Store in Horton. Mr. Priebe will be joined by his wife and two sons as soon as living quarters can be secured.

Many a woman has dreamed of one day owning a dress from Paris but it fell to the lot of a little lady only one and one-half years old to realize such an ambition this Christmas. Little Rosemary Ollenberger received a blue knit dress with white collar and cuffs and six gores in the skirt from her daddy, T/Sgt. Leslie Ollenberger. As if that were not enough, she also was the recipient of a stuffed kangaroo from far away Australia. Pfc. Albert Ollenberger was the donor.

Rev. and Mrs. Robert Spencer held open house New Year's Day for anyone who desired to view the Presbyterian parsonage. Four girls helping serve in the afternoon were Vera and Violet Matthew, Marjorie Ewert and Pauline Keazer. Afternoon hosts were Mr. and Mrs. John Skinner and Mr. and Mrs. James Meisner. Girls serving in the evening were Mary Louise Tibbetts, Cherridah Mullikin, and Wanda Hannaford. Hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Blackim and Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Harms.

C.P. King, a resident of Marion for many years, purchased property in Florence and last week moved there to make his home near his son Cecil and family. Mr. King is well known in the community. For a number of years, he owned and operating a threshing rig which worked in this vicinity.
