A Raven success
2004 Marion High School graduate Steven Boone was named to the 2005 all-conference first team for his play as fullback for Coffeyville Community College. Red Raven head coach Jeff Lecker announced Monday Boone also was named team MVP Oct. 15 in a loss to Butler for his blocking and a one-yard touchdown run. The Red Ravens, members of the Jayhawk Conference, defeated Dodge City Saturday 33-12 to earn the Region 6 Championship. They now await word on a possible bowl game invitation. Boone is pictured with parents Ike and Brenda, and brother Sheldon, all of Marion.
