Accidents

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Andrew L. Bowen, 34, Hutchinson, was northbound on K-256 just north of 190th at 8:46 p.m. Sept. 13 when a deer entered the roadway from the west ditch. Bowen, driving a 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass, struck the deer. Nichole D. Bowen, 25, of the home was a passenger. No one was injured, reports Deputy Mike Vineski.

Kenneth E. Border, 25, 706 Sherman, Marion, was northbound on U.S.-77 just south of 140th at 8:14 a.m. Sept. 7. Bo Bo Bryant, 35, St. Anne, Ill., was southbound. Bryant was driving a 2000 Ford F250 belonging to Lee A. Hughes of Kankakee, Ill. He crossed the center line and struck a 2000 Ford Contour driven by Border. Border was injured and taken by Lifewatch to Via Christi-St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. Bryant and passenger Jobie J. Mosley, 33, of the home were not injured, reports Deputy Rollin Schmidt.

Gregory S. Dunn, 32, 309 Oakmont Ct., Andover, was southbound on U.S.-56/77 just south of 290th at 2:15 p.m. Sept. 11 when a deer came out of the east ditch and was struck. Dunn was driving a 2000 GMC Van owned by Farney's Distributing, 280 Cain, Haysville. Dunn was not injured, reports Undersheriff Randal Brazil.

Stacey A. Deines, 28, 303 W. 4th, Florence, was southbound on Doyle and 1st Street in Florence. Deines was driving a 2003 Terminator mo-ped. He entered a curve on 1st Street where the street turned to sand, lost control, and fell into the street. He was taken by Florence Ambulance to Via Christi-St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita, reports Deputy Waddell.
