Accidents

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Eileen R. Unruh, 63, 942 150th, Hillsboro, was southbound on Indigo just north of 180th at 7:55 p.m. Sept. 21 when a deer came from the west ditch, Unruh, driving a 2002 Ford Explorer, struck the deer, killing it, reports Deputy David Funk. Passengers in the vehicle were Alice J. Christenson, 63, LaGrange, Ga., and John Vs. Unruh, 65, of the home. No one was injured.

James N. Nolan, 63, Whitewater, was southbound on Old Mill at 40th at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 20. Vickie R. Entz, 57, Rt. 2, Peabody, was eastbound on 40th. Entz, driving a 1989 Ford F250 owned by Clifford Entz of Peabody, did not stop at the stop sign at 40th. Nolan, driving a 2001 Ford Focus, struck Entz in the intersection, reports Undersheriff Randall Brazil. Phyllis A. Nolan, 59, of the home was a passenger in Nolan's vehicle. No one was injured.

Janice E. Voth, 39, Newton, was southbound on Alamo Rd. just north of 110th at 5:45 a.m. Sept. 10. Barbara J. Britton, 57, 1165 Alamo, Goessel, backed out of her driveway and was struck by Voth on the rear passenger's side of the 2002 Ford F150 she was driving. Voth was driving a 1988 Dodge Caravan with passenger Chrystiana M. Voth, 12, of the home. No injuries were reported.

Eric P. Dutton, 14, 979 90th, Peabody, was westbound on 90th just east of Jade at 9:15 p.m. Sept. 25 when he lost control of the 1989 Ford Ranger he was driving. Dutton attempted to brake, the vehicle slid into the ditch, and rolled, reports Deputy Aaron Waddell. The vehicle is owned by William Dutton of the home. Dutton was not injured.

Jon D. Buller, 46, 646 140th, Hillsboro, was westbound on 120th just east of K-15 at 8:05 p.m. Sept. 25. Four deer were standing in the road. Buller, driving a 1990 Toyota pickup, struck one deer, killing it. Buller was not injured, reports Undersheriff Brazil.
