Accidents

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Chastity P. Christyauntie, 30, 212 Buller, Goessel, was westbound on Commercial Street at State Street at 10:10 p.m. March 25. Driving a 1998 Mercury Sable, Christyauntie failed to stop or turn at State Street and went though the ditch and into a field. Passengers in the vehicle were Meagan N. Meaders, 14, and Dakota Harjo, 9, both of 113 Drucilla, Moundridge. Harjo was injured but did not require transport, states Deputy Larry Starkey.

Daniel K. McGuire, 16, 125 South Washington, Burns, was southbound on Sunflower just north of 180th at 8:20 p.m. March 17. He traveled over the white line to the shoulder of the road, over corrected, and rolled his 1994 Chevrolet Suburban twice. The vehicle is registered to John M. Smith, 1571 NW 170th, Burns. Sergeant Jeff Soyez reports McGuire was not injured.

Nathan A. Regier, 20, Newton, was northbound on U.S.-56/77 at 230th at 3:30 a.m. March 28. His 1997 Pontiac Sunfire went onto the east shoulder. Regier over corrected and went into the west ditch. The vehicle landed on its side. Kenneth Regier, of the home, is the registered owner. Regier was taken by Marion Ambulance to St. Luke Hospital, Marion, reports Deputy Josh Whitwell.

Dakota John Langley, 14, 302 W. Grand, Hillsboro, was westbound on 190th just west of Nighthawk at 10:30 p.m. March 22. Langley lost control of his 1994 Chevrolet S10 on the snow-packed road. Thomas Langley, of the home is the registered owner of the vehicle. Langley was injured but did not require transport, states Sergeant Soyez.

Steven Ray Wilson, 62, Salina, was traveling on Cedar Street at Second Street, Hillsboro, at 3:15 p.m. March. 27. The trailer of his 1991 semi caught a power line, resulting in a downed line and damage to a business owned by Vernon Friesen, 411 South Wilson, Hillsboro. The vehicle is registered to Price Truck Line Inc., Wichita, reports Assistant Chief Jessey Hiebert.

Arthur Jantz, 84, 1 Park Avenue, Apt. 216, Hillsboro, backed out of a parking spot and was westbound on West Main Street at 9:43 a.m. March 29. Autumn Chisholm, 51, 2868 Kanza, Durham, started backing out of a parking spot and collided with Jantz's 1989 Chevrolet S10. Linda Jantz, 82, of the home, was a passenger in the Jantz vehicle. Katie Evans, 4, and Grant Evans, 2, were passengers in Chisholm's 2000 Dodge. Sergeant Chad Funk states there were no injuries.
