Accidents
The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:
Janice Marie Waner, 49, 2060 110th, Peabody, was southbound on Sunflower just south of 120th at 8:20 p.m. April 3. A deer came from the west ditch and was struck by her 2004 Pontiac GTO. Waner was not injured, reports Deputy Duane McCarty.
Jarrell L. Jones, 63, Newton, was northbound on Indigo just south of 110th at 8:50 p.m. April 8. A deer came from the west ditch and was struck by his 2001 Accura. Mary K. Jones, 61, of the home and Beverly Schroeder, 55, 306 North Ash, Hillsboro, were passengers in the vehicle. Deputy Larry Starkey states no one was injured.
Miranda Bernhardt, 23, 362 South Washington, Hillsboro, was backing west out of the driveway. Arthur Crocker, 53, 309 West Washington, Hillsboro, was backing east out of a driveway. The vehicles collided in the center of Washington Street. Bernhardt was driving a 2005 Ford Focus and Crocker, a 2001 GMC pickup. No one was injured reports Deputy Kinning.
