Accidents reported

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Richard B. Pracht, 59, 12 Pioneer Court, Marion, was eastbound on 190th just east of Eisenhower at 11:15 a.m. July 29. As he was passing the golf course, a ball came from the south and struck the windshield of the 1996 Mazda B2300 he was driving. Pracht was not injured, reports Deputy Larry Starkey.

Junior L. Janzen, 70, 420 N. Weaver St., Hesston, was westbound on 150th just east of K-15 at 9:15 p.m. Aug. 6 when a deer came into the roadway and was struck by the 1995 Cadillac he was driving. Passengers in the vehicle were Joyce Janzen, 66, of the home and Juanita Janzen, 64, and Leon Janzen, 65, of 209 S. College, Hesston, Maynard Janzen, 68, 1500 N. Main, Newton, and Harold Moyer, 64, 2401 College Ave., Newton. Deputy Mike Vineski reports no one was injured.

Kenneth J. Bowman, 47, 17 Lois Lane, Marion, was westbound on U.S.-50 at Nighthawk at 10:57 a.m. Aug 7. Benjamin E. Jacobsen, 63, 237 Battin, Wichita, was stopped at the stop sign headed north. Jacobsen, driving a 2001 Ford van, pulled across the intersection and was struck by Bowman's 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue. No one was hurt, reports Deputy Vineski.

Stuart Wade Funk, 34, 815 N. Main, Florence, was northbound on Old Mill just north of 54th at 9:13 p.m. Aug. 1 when a deer entered the roadway from the west side and ran into the 1990 Chevrolet Prism he was driving. Michael Warner, 47, 133 W. 7th, Florence, was a passenger in the vehicle. Neither man was injured, reports Deputy Vineski.

Daniel L. Yoder, 22, 108 E. C Street, Hillsboro, was westbound on 20th at Old Mill at 7 p.m. Aug. 1. Todd Harper, 22, Paullina, Iowa was following. Yoder stopped at the intersection. Harper, driving a 1994 Chevrolet C2500, was unable to see Yoder because of dust and struck the 1999 Ford pickup Yoder was driving. Both vehicles are registered to Rod's Tire and Service, Hillsboro. No one was hurt, reports Deputy Vineski.
