Accidents reported

The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

Thomas J. Gaeddert, 43, 605 West 13th, Newton, was northbound on Sunflower just south of 140th at 8:20 p.m. Oct. 21. A deer came from the west ditch and was struck by Gaeddert's 1996 Plymouth Voyager. Kendall J. Gaeddert, 8, of the home, was a passenger in the vehicle. No one was injured, reports Deputy Larry Starkey.

Eric R. Hardey, 28, 620 South Cedar, Marion, was westbound on U.S.-56 at Eagle at 4:15 a.m. Oct. 15. A deer came out of the north ditch and was hit by Hardey's 1990 Ford Ranger. Hardey was not injured, reports Deputy Josh Whitwell.

Marissa K. Makovec, 42, 3201 Quail Creek, Ramona, was westbound on 330th just west of Quail Creek at 7:10 p.m. Oct. 20. Three deer came from the north ditch. Makovec, driving a 1999 Ford Expedition, was unable to avoid hitting one deer. Shelia R. Makovec, 13, of the home, was a passenger in the vehicle. No injuries were reported, states Deputy Starkey.
