Accidents reported
The following accidents were reported by law enforcement agencies within Marion County:
Jordan L. Trapp, 20, 331 S. First, Marion, was westbound on 190th at 8:37 p.m. Aug. 27, in a 1996 Chevrolet S-10 pickup when a deer came from a south ditch and was struck. Audrey Ediger, 18, 409 S. Cedar, Hillsboro, was a passenger in the truck. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Larry Starkey reported no one was injured and less than $1,000 in damages.
Nathan L. Funk, 26, 409 N. Topeka, Lincolnville, was backing from a drive near Burbridge Street, Marion, at 4:50 p.m. Aug. 30, when he struck a gas meter. Funk was driving a 1994 Chevrolet Blazer and the incident occurred on private property, reported Marion Police Office Howard Kahler.
