Alamia-Pensabene engagement
Nicole Pensabene and George Alamia of Holbrook, N.Y., announced their engagement and wedding plans Nov. 9 at a semi-formal party at VFW Post #9486, Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Paul and Patti Pensabene of Holbrook and granddaughter of Peggy Thies of Salina and the late Dr. W.M. Thies. She is a graduate of Sachem High School and earned a bachelor degree in science from the University of Rhode Island. She currently is teaching third grade in the Copiague, Long Island, N.Y., school.
Her fiancé is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ignazio Alamia of Holbrook. Also a graduate of Sachem High School, he attended State University at Brockport, N.Y., and is a physical education teacher in the Smithtown, N.Y., school district.
The couple plans to be married Aug. 1, 2003, at Infant Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Port Jefferson, N.Y.
