Alvina Pagel

Alvina Pagel, 88, died Jan. 16, 2004, at Via Christi-St. Francis Medical Center, Wichita.

Born Dec. 8, 1915, at White City, she was the daughter of Charles and Alma (Joy) Pagel.

She was a homemaker and worked for Colgate-Palmolive in Kansas City for 20 years. After her retirement she moved to Marion Reservoir where she lived for 22 years. She then moved to Hilltop Manor at Marion.

She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a brother, Ben Pagel of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Verna Warneke of Herington; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today at Our Savior Lutheran Church with the Rev. Alan Stahlecker officiating.

Connee Willis was organist. Greg Carlson sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace." The congregational hymn was "Abide with Me."

Burial was in Marion Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with the American Cancer Society.
