Andrea Wegerer receives top award
The 39th annual College of Agriculture awards assembly was held April 13 at Kansas State University Union.
Andrea Wegerer of Marion received the Outstanding Horticultural Therapy Student of the Year Award.
Andrea, president of the Horticultural Therapy Chapter, went with the Horticulture and Landscape Design Tour Group to the Netherlands, including Amsterdam and Holland, the summer of 2002, and is a junior at K-State. The award was based on academic performance and campus involvement. She was chosen by the faculty for this honor.
Dr. Richard Mattson, professor in Horticulture Therapy, expressed how exceptional it is for Andrea being a junior to receive this award.
Andrea is the daughter of Lou and Judy Wegerer of Marion and is a 2000 graduate of Marion High School.
