Animal cruelty hits Peabody
Marietta Rose, 1477 30th, Peabody, states an unknown person used a knife or other sharp cutting instrument to cut her dog "Sandy." The incident occurred between 11:55 p.m. July 13 and 6:30 a.m. July 15, reports Deputy Schmidt.
An unknown person broke off a low voltage lawn light from a stand and took the light at 20 Lakeshore Dr., Marion sometime between 10 p.m. July 18 and 7 a.m. July 19. The light, belonging to Betty J. Crumrine, is valued at $15, reports Deputy Rollin Schmidt.
An individual moved the hose on an anhydrous tank at 205 S. Main, Tampa, in an attempt to steal anhydrous sometime between 5:30 p.m. July 11 and 8 a.m. July 14. The tank belonged to Agri Producers, reports Deputy Schmidt.
A driver was pulled over at 11:44 p.m. Jan. 12, for not having a tag light. During the stop, Deputy Aaron Waddell arrested the driver for furnishing alcohol to a minor, transporting alcohol in an open container, and possession of marijuana. The incident was just reported by the sheriff's office.
An individual was riding in a vehicle at 11:44 p.m. July 12 when the vehicle was stopped by Deputy Waddell for an equipment violation. During the stop, the juvenile passenger admitted to drinking alcohol and the driver admitted to furnishing the juvenile with alcohol.
