Anniversary: Uphoffs
Mr. and Mrs. Albert C. Uphoff, 204 East 11th Ave., Hutchinson, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary July 27 at a family and friends supper.
Uphoff and the former Alice Stamp met on a blind date at Florence. They were married July 27, 1942 at El Dorado.
He retired from the Kansas Department of Transportation after 12 years of service. She retired from Kinder Manufacturing after 22 years and later from T&E Oil Company with 12 years of service.
Hosts for the event will be their children, Fred and Judy Uphoff of Belleville and Rosalie and Billy Spaniol and Melvin Uphoff of Hutchinson.
There are 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
