Arnhold chosen for all-American wrestling team

Chelsea Arnhold won 107 matches in her wrestling career at Marion High School — wrestling with boys.

The 2005 graduate was rewarded for her effort by being named to the 2005 TheMat.com/ASICS girls' high school All-American wrestling team.

Forty-two other female wrestlers, who mostly wrestle other girls, were named to the first three teams. Arnhold was named to the honorable mention team along with 30 other female wrestlers across the nation.

The three-time state qualifier was the all-time victory leader when she graduate from MHS, but now stands at second behind Casey Nelson's 109 victories.

She joined two other Kansas wrestlers, Krisha Childres of Goddard, and Beth Johnson of Garden City, on the team.

Arnhold is the daughter of Ken and Teri Arnhold of Marion.
