Arthur Woten
Arthur L. Woten, 100, died Jan. 20, 2004, at Herington Municipal Hospital.
Born Aug. 11, 1903, at Iola, he was the son of John W. and Lydia (Allen) Woten.
On April 14, 1929, he married Nita Howser at Eldon, Mo. He was a supervisor for Rock Island Railroad until his retirement in 1968.
Survivors include his wife, Nita of Chapman; a daughter, Sonja Hayes of Vienna, Va.; a son, Don Woten of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Loretta Hetsel of Eldon, Mo.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Herington United Methodist Church with the Rev. Edward Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.
A memorial fund has been established with the church.
