Barbara Broomes
Barbara Viola Trout Broomes, 70, died Oct. 19, 2003, in Chickasha, Okla.
The daughter of Eulon and Mona (Vier) Trout, Barbara was born Feb. 1, 1933, in Chickasha, Okla.
In 1955 she married William Broomes and the couple moved to Wichita where she lived most of her adult life.
She worked for National Cash Register Company for many years. After her retirement, she returned to Chickasha. She was a member of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church.
Broomes is preceded in death by both parents and her husband, William.
Survivors include a daughter, Eula Richmond of Marion; one brother, Jerry Trout of Chickasha, Okla.; a sister, Pat Tinsley of Germantown, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, Chickasha, with Robert Dye officiating.
Burial was Wednesday afternoon at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Wichita.
