Barbara Kendall
Barbara Rose Kendall, 67, who was raised in the Tampa community and attended school there, died Aug. 30, 2002, at Newport News, Va.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. James Mofffitt and his wife Ellen (Nellie), born Oct. 22, 1934, at Abilene.
She had resided at Benton, La., for the past 22 kyears.
Rosary was followed by a memorial Mass Tuesday at St. Jude Catholic Church, Bossier City, La.
She attended Sacred Heart College, Wichita, and worked for many years as a dental assistant in Shreveport and Bossier City, La.
A past president of Cypress Area Garden Club, she was active in the ladies guild of the church as well as the Barksdale AFB Thrift Shop.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Corinne Kleopfer and Mildred Hicks, and one brother Dr. Jim Moffitt.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Kendall; four daughters and their spouses, Sally and Ken Lawing of Madison, Ala., Nancy and Steve Gauvin of New Glouster, Maine, Suzanne and Dr. Tim Tanner of Danville, Vt., and Mary and Steven Cook of Birmingham, Ala.; one son, Michael Kendall and his wife, Lee Ann, of Dallas, Texas; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ellen McCarthy of St. David, Ariz., and Aileen Corbisiero of San Antonio, Texas; and three brothers, John Moffitt of Medicine Lake, Wash., Tom Moffitt of Taft, Calif., and Frank Moffitt of Marion.
Memorials are being made in her name with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.; the American Cancer Society, and Christus Schumpert Community Hospice, Shreveport, La.
