Beatrice McIntyre
d Nov. 10, 2003, at her home in Herington.
Born Oct. 21, 1934, in Madison County, N.C., she was the daughter of James N. and Minnie M. (Rhinehart) Yates.
On Nov. 22, 1958, she married Gail R. McIntyre at Herington.
A homemaker, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Herington, and a life member of Clan McIntyre International.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, J. Oral Yates and Bernard Yates; four sisters, Ora Mae Coble, Dorothy Huff, Ora Lee Kirkman, and Lucille Yates; and her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Gail; a son, Blake McIntyre of Osage City; a daughter, Gay Linn Giffin of Waverly; a sister, Valerie Haider of Oceanside, Calif.; four grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church, Herington, with the Rev. Victor Forrest officiating.
Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.
A memorial fund has been established with the church.
