Beyond the arc
It really should be of little or no surprise that K-State lost Saturday against Marshall. With Roberson out with that "soar" non-throwing hand, the weight of the Wildcat offense would be resting on a guy who's name (Schwinn) sounds better qualified for the Tour de France.
What exactly was Bill Snyder thinking this past weekend? Below is a small clip from Bill Snyder's itinerary on Saturday.
Bill's Saturday itinerary
5 a.m. — meet team for breakfast.
5:05 a.m. — talk with Roberson about playing against Marshall.
7 a.m. — watch film.
7:35 a.m. — call Roberson in his dorm room. Tell him Cat Backers are anxious to see him back in action.
9 a.m. — talk with players getting ready in the locker room. (Convince Roberson to suit-up.)
9:30 a.m. — take a nap. (Dream of Roberson playing against Marshall.)
11 a.m. — beg and plead with Roberson to play.
12 p.m. — grudgingly announce Shwin, Schwinn (how do you spell this guy's name anyway?) as the starting quarterback.
It had to just be killing Coach Snyder to have his star quarterback standing on the sideline, suited up, and not be able to use him.
I sure hope that when Roberson finally does decide to come back, that the season has not been completely lost.
He has completely let me down as a fan, and I think he's let his team down as well. You can't tell me that an 80 percent Roberson, isn't as good as a 110 percent Jeff Schwinn.
K-State has a week off to get things back together again. I just hope that a "soar" hand and a loss to Marshall doesn't cost Snyder his last shot at the national title.
