BIRTHS: Melanie Garrett
DuWayne and Loreen Garrett of Marion are the parents of a daughter, Melanie Nicole, born at 6:20 a.m. July 31, 2003, at St. Luke Hospital.
Their first child, the baby weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches in length.
She is the granddaughter of Richard and Mary Schaffer of Marion and Paulette Pollard of Minot, N.D.
